Michael J. Kannengieser grew up in Copiague, Long Island and now resides in Nesconset. A former New York City police officer, Michael worked as Managing Editor for Fiction at the renowned international literary magazine, The View from Here. Michael also has been published in Newsday and is a contributor to Criminal Justice News. The Daddy Rock is his first novel published by Felsen Press, an imprint of Decent Hill Publishing.
The Daddy Rock is a police thriller. Roger Price is a retired cop whose wife and daughter were killed in an accident. His best friend, Danny, a retired detective, is pursued by gang members he locked up over twenty years earlier. They want to murder him as revenge for their incarceration and Roger is caught in the crossfire. A woman named Claire, whom Roger had a brief affair with when they were teenagers, claims that he is the father of her college-age daughter, named Bonnie. His newfound daughter is dying and needs something vital from him to survive. Roger must help Danny apprehend the men out to kill them, and he must come to Bonnie’s aid so she may live.
